Ingredients Needed
- 1 pack of Layo Creations African Honey Beans Flour with Spices
- 2 cups of water
- 2 to 3 cups of vegetable or corn oil (enough for deep fry)
- 1 1/4 teaspoons of grounded crayfish (optional)
- Additional hot pepper as desired
Making Akara with Layo Creations Honey Beans Flour with Spices
- Put all ingredients (except oil for frying) into a large mixing bowl.
- Beat with a wooden spoon or a hand-held mixer for 2-3 minutes for a more fluffy Akara.
- Let the mixture sit in the bowl for 1.5 hours.
- Heat the oil in a pot on low-medium heat for 3-4 minutes
- Scoop the mixture with a spoon into the pot
- Fry till golden brown
- Serve and enjoy with Pap (ogi) or bread
